How to Use Custom Data

Leveraging your Copilot’s ability to reference existing data better attunes your assistant to your needs. The option to implement this is what makes CopilotBuilder special! Try it for yourself to find out!

1. Start by selecting "Data" from the menu.
2. Choose to "Add Data Collection"
3. You will be prompted to choose a name and choose the collection type

4. Next, select "Add Documents" and upload the files you would like your Copilot to reference. You can also choose to reference URLs or input text directly.

   If you are having your Copilot utilize URLs for its data, note that the Copilot will not be able to access webpages that require authorization as well as internal links or documents within that site. If there are internal links/documents you would like your Copilot to access, please add each to the data collection.
5. Once your data collection is created, you can link it to a Copilot. Just go to your Copilots and select the corresponding icon for the Copilot you want to link. Then choose the data collection you want to link.
